CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF"THIRD WORLD GEOGRAPHY"

This poem appeals to me because it takes me back to a time when the Philippines was still under martial law. The poem describes how the oppressive government caused the suffering of the people. It also depicts the people's destitution, hunger, and total suffering, but it also discusses hope and how people clung to it in the hope that a miracle would occur one day.

Even if it necessitates using force and deceiving others. Furthermore, it seems that someone who refuses to accept the reality will not be influenced by your pleas. After reading the poem Third World Geography, I felt even more thankful for this particular moment. When I think back on what happened then, I can't help but be thankful that, although not being perfect, the country is a little bit better now than it was back then since our rights are not being denied to us. To enhance the present and prevent making the same mistakes again in the past, we must also keep in mind what happened at the time.

The message expresses the loss of hope among Filipinos. I made an effort to imagine the people's misery and cries for food and compassionate medical attention. The government is indifferent and does nothing when society complains that its rights are being infringed upon. During the aforementioned time, Filipinos are pleading for miracles, but only the wind can hear them. The government doesn't care about their problems and wouldn't give a damn if they pleaded for it. The prayers of the Filipinos were ineffective. They weren't even thinking about the people living in the country.
